• Wedding Music – Greatest Day

  Now this might seem a fairly obvious choice, but the first time I heard Take That’s ‘Greatest Day’ I instantly thought how suitable it would be for a wedding. I can easily see this song being used for the first dance, but I think it would be equally suitable for the entrance of the bride. I can just imagine the excitement and anticipation building as the bridesmaids walk down the aisle to the first couple of verses, with the bride making her grand entrance to the chorus as the drums start and the real emotion of the song kicks in. • Mood Board Monday #6 – Sea Spray Chic

  We’ve had a few bright and colourful boards recently, so I feel it’s time for something more subtle and understated. I don’t know whether it’s because I’ve been land-locked my entire life, but I just love visiting the seaside. I could sit for hours just staring out to sea and listening to the waves lapping against the shore, and I think it’s a beautiful setting for a wedding reception.

This concept is all about glamour and sophistication, and has been designed with a modern My Fair Lady theme in mind. The classic black and white colour palette provides natural style and elegance, whilst the blend of contemporary fashion and decor with occasional vintage accessories ensures a modern, yet timeless, look.

• Gorgeous Weddings on the Blogosphere

  I’ve been catching up on a bit of blog reading over the last few days, and I’m loving some of the real weddings that are coming out of the States at the moment. The first one that really caught my eye was this fabulous fairground themed event featured on Once Wed. It’s so quirky and looks like it was great fun to be a part of – I particularly love the kissing booth and the bride’s totally unique fashion style!

  Sadly the summer seems to have deserted us here in Essex at the moment, so today I’ve designed a colourful board that hopefully will bring some sunshine to your day.
