Good point, although some venues with a co-ordinater won't necessarily decorate the venue for you, so it's always worth checking exactly what responsibilities the co-ordinatior will take on. Also keep in mind that the person who helps you with the planning might not be the person in charge on the day, and it's worth finding this out beforehand as well.

Equally, some venues that don't have a co-ordinator may offer you more freedom to style the space as you wish, rather than having to overcome the "well this is how we usually do it" mindset. It just depends on whether you want to take on some additional organisation!

Point 6 - "Not all venues have a co-ordinator" is very important. I would suggest that this is vital, if a venue doesn't have a dedicated person to do this then look elsewhere. There is enough on your plate organising a wedding without having to organise the venue decoration.
