My bridesmaids and I had brooch bouquets for my wedding in September which my sister offered to make for me. They were such a hit that she's started making them for other people! There's some of the professional photos on her Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=190032287698339&set=a.188758754492359.44174.188041254564109&type=1&pid=514735&id=188041254564109 ). It just goes to show that there are beautiful alternatives to flower bouquets!

Hi Jenna

Thanks for sharing your ideas - a brooch/jewellery bouquet is a lovely novel idea, and the boutonierres look gorgeous! Perhaps you can send us a photo of how it turns out?

I'm getting married in July & am not having any flowers at the wedding. I'm creating my bouquet out of brooches & pieces given by friends & family, have purchased lovely boutonnieres through Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/33438559/frolic-boutonniere)& am doing mini-candy bars as the centrepieces on each table!

I went to a wedding a few years ago where feathers and silk flowers in vibrant purple tones were used for the bouquets and table centres. They were stunning and the bride had no problems with preserving her bouquet!
