    Posted in Photography, Spotlight On...

Over the last couple of weeks we’ve shown some of the photos from our vintage peach shoot, and today I’d like to introduce the lady behind the lens and the person responsible for such wonderful images, Chanelle from Segerius Bruce Photography.

I’ve known Chanelle for a couple of years now, but it’s only over the last 6 months that we’ve had the opportunity to work together more closely. She did an amazing job on our shoot, so I asked her to stop by the blog and answer a few questions…over to you Chanelle!

I adore this photo from Kiss The Groom by the super talented Elizabeth Messina. I love the combination of the cheeky little dress and long flowing veil, but what really drew me to this image was the way the veil has been drawn around the couple during a passionate kiss, almost to try and shut the world out just for a single moment – bliss!

I was instantly drawn to this beautiful photo that I spotted in this real wedding post on The Wedding Vine earlier this week. It’s often easy to overlook the photo opportunities that are available later in the evening, but I just love the way that photographer David Pullum has used the fading light to capture this stunning silhouette shot.

This photo over on Style Me Pretty caught my eye this week. I love the fact that amidst all the hubbub of a wedding day, this couple have sneaked off for 5 minutes alone together. A wedding day goes so quickly, so be sure to cherish every moment of it.

One of the best parts of my job is getting to browse through the work of some extremely talented wedding photographers – it never ceases to amaze me how they capture split-second emotions and minute details. So starting from today I’m running a new Friday feature on the blog where I showcase my favourite photo of the week, starting with this gorgeous offering from Marianne Taylor.

  • Real-Life Engagement Session

If you’re a regular reader of the blog you might remember that a couple of weeks ago I posted a feature about engagement sessions (see the full post here). Engagement, or pre-wedding, shoots seem to be incredibly popular in the States, but are starting to appear more often over here in the UK, with many British photographers offering them as part of wedding packages or for a one-off fee.

You’ll see from my last post that I think they’re a fabulous way of celebrating your engagement, and also are a lovely way of starting the ‘story’ of your wedding. I was, therefore, delighted when the super-talented Pippa Mackenzie sent me these beautiful shots of Natalie and James’s engagement session down in Brighton.

One thing I think all couples should take advantage of is an engagement session with their wedding photographer. Sometimes called pre-wedding shoots or e-sessions, I love the idea of having photographs taken before your wedding to celebrate this special time and the love you have for each other.
