Whilst browsing Polka Dot Bride the other week I stumbled across Etsy seller Timeless Vixen Vintage, and I have fallen totally in love with their collection of vintage dresses. The gowns date from the 1870s through to the 1970s, meaning there are plenty of different styles and colours to choose from.

What I particularly like about these dresses is that not only are they beautiful, but they allow a bride to express her own sense of style and fashion and I think they would be perfect for anyone looking for something a bit different for their wedding. I had a really difficult job, but I’ve picked out a few of my favourites to share with you here.
I love this1950s champagne pink gown. Although it’s a vintage design, the ruffled skirt means it is up there with the current bridal fashion trends, so it could easily be worn at a more modern-style wedding.

This 1950s Ceil Chapman dress is all about elegance and grace. I could really see this working well for a winter wedding or chic evening cocktail reception.

This delicate Chantilly lace gown from 1910 would be perfect if you’re going for a true vintage style wedding.

I would love to see this 1950s red and white dress at a summer wedding, perhaps for a garden party or fairground-themed celebration. I think it’s a snip at $380, so if you wanted something more traditional for the day you could always wear this for the evening party – that short tulle skirt would look gorgeous twirling around the dance floor!

Now I love the coloured dresses on offer by Timeless Vixen Vintage, but I also like this simple white 1950s gown. I think it has a real English rose feel about it, and could easily see it being worn for a high tea or country garden reception.

My final pick is this super-glamorous 1950s Star-Glo gown. I don’t think I really need to say any more do I?!

You need to contact Timeless Vixen Vintage directly. I would suggest you visit their etsy store (linked in the post) and get in touch to see what they have in stock.
